Conversion goals: what counts as a win

A goal is what Zyro counts as a win: a sale, a sign-up or a click. Tests are judged on it, and reports count it.

Every plan

On zyro.world, open Settings and then Conversion goals. Your plan sets how many goals you can keep. Open Conversion goals in Zyro

Start with purchases

Most stores only need one goal: purchases. Choose Track purchases and Zyro records each sale and its value as it happens. On Shopify and WooCommerce the order comes from the store itself. On other sites Zyro reads the purchase your analytics tags already send, or you add one line to your order confirmation page (the page shows the exact snippet).

Add your own goal

  1. Choose New goal and give it a name you'll recognise in reports.
  2. Pick what counts: opens a page (a part of its address), clicks an element, scrolls down a page, or fires a JavaScript event.
  3. Choose how it's counted: Every time it happens, or Once per visitor. Once per visitor suits sign-ups; every time suits purchases.
  4. Add a value if each one is worth money to you and your plan includes goal values, so tests can compare value as well as count.

Used by on each goal shows the tests judged on it. Zyro never removes your last goal, so tests always have something to count.

If it doesn't work

  • A page goal never counts. Open the page yourself and check its address contains the text you entered.
  • A click goal never counts. The element may have changed after a theme edit. Edit the goal and pick it again.
  • Sales are missing on a non-Shopify site. Check the order confirmation page sends the purchase, or connect WooCommerce.
