Revenue by channel is free on every plan. On zyro.world, open Revenue in the left menu.
How a sale gets its channel
- A visit arrives. Zyro notes where it came from: an ad click ID (for example from Google or Meta ads), a UTM tag on the link, or the site that sent the visitor.
- The shopper comes back. Each later visit adds a step to that shopper's journey.
- A sale happens. Zyro matches the order to the journey.
- Credit is shared. Every channel in the journey gets a share of the sale, not only the last click. Zyro also shows what a last-click tool would have said, so you can see the difference.
- You see the totals. The Revenue page adds up each channel. A strip at the top compares that with your store's total sales.
Why some sales show as Direct
Zyro labels a visit Direct when it has no ad click ID, no UTM tag and no referring site, or when the visitor came from another page on your own site. Common causes:
- Someone typed your address or used a bookmark.
- They tapped a link in an email, chat or social app that doesn't pass on where the visitor came from.
- You shared a link without UTM tags. Tag your links with the UTM builder so they show under the right name.
Direct is real traffic. It's often people who already know your store.
Direct is not the same as unattributed
Unattributed means a sale Zyro couldn't tie to a visit journey yet. That can happen when a shopper declined analytics cookies on a Shopify store with a consent banner, or when Zyro wasn't installed or was switched off at the time.
If it doesn't work
- Almost everything is Direct. Check that your ad and email links carry UTM tags.
- A big unattributed share. Make sure Zyro is on every page and hasn't stopped seeing visits.
- No sales at all on a non-Shopify site. If your order confirmation page is unusual, add a page-reached goal for it under Settings > Conversion goals.
- Numbers differ from your ad platform. Ad platforms count their own clicks and views. Zyro counts sales it can trace to a visit and shares credit across the journey, so the totals won't match exactly.
