Data, privacy and deleting your data

What Zyro keeps, how shopper privacy requests are handled, and how to ask us to delete your data.

What Zyro stores

  • About you: your name, email, how you sign in and your team. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never as the password itself. You enter card details with Stripe, not Zyro.
  • About your visitors: pages viewed, clicks and scrolling, which test version or offer they saw, and where they came from.
  • Sales: the order number and total, so each sale can be matched to channels, tests and offers.
  • Pop-up sign-ups: when a shopper fills in an offer form, the email or phone they entered and whether they agreed to marketing.

On a Shopify store with a cookie banner, Zyro waits for the shopper to accept analytics before it counts them. Zyro doesn't sell your data. The full details are in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.

Shopify shopper requests are handled automatically

  • When a shopper asks your store to erase their data, Shopify tells Zyro, and Zyro deletes that shopper's pop-up sign-ups and visitor identity records.
  • When a shopper asks for a copy of their data, Zyro records the request and checks what it holds. If it holds anything, we send it to you within Shopify's 30-day window.
  • If you uninstall and don't reinstall within 48 hours, Zyro permanently erases your store's data.

Ask us to delete your data

  1. Email us. Write to hello@zyro.world from the email on your Zyro account.
  2. Say what to delete. Name the store or site, and say whether you want one site removed or your whole account deleted.
  3. Stop new data. Take the Zyro snippet or app embed off your store so nothing new is collected.

Removing a site under My sites hides it but doesn't delete its data. Disconnecting an integration stops new data, but doesn't delete what was already imported. To delete it, email us.

If it doesn't work

  • You're not sure what we hold. Email us and ask before you delete anything.
  • You can't send from your account email. Put your store address and the account email in your message.
  • A shopper contacted you directly. On Shopify, handle it through Shopify's customer privacy tools so the request reaches Zyro. Elsewhere, email us with the shopper's email address.
