Security and your data

Zyro keeps your store's data locked with encryption when it is stored, and sends it over HTTPS. It asks for more access only when a feature needs it. It never sells personal data. Here is what Zyro reads, how it is kept safe, and how to remove it.

What Zyro reads from your store

When you add Zyro on Shopify, it asks for 3 permissions. They let it read orders and see what shoppers do on your store. The third lets it add its tracking code.

Zyro asks for more inside the app, only when you use a feature that needs it.

Zyro does not ask Shopify for shoppers' names, emails or addresses on orders.

Card details never reach Zyro. Stripe or Shopify handles payment.

What Zyro can change

Zyro only changes a product when you keep a winning test or save a customs code. You can undo both.

How your data is protected

  • Every page is served over HTTPS, and browsers are told to always use the secure version.
  • Every page sends standard security headers to the browser.
  • The database is locked with AES-256 encryption when stored, and so are its backups.
  • A full backup runs every night, and each one is checked. The server is also copied each day. Each copy is kept for 7 days.
  • Every person or tool that touches the live database is logged.
  • Keys for the tools you connect are locked with encryption before they are stored. They are never shown again.
  • Passwords are stored as salted one-way hashes, so the password itself is never kept.
  • You can sign in with a passkey, an emailed code, or a two-step code.
  • Zyro uses rate limits, bot filtering and sign-in lockouts. It checks that each message from Shopify really came from Shopify.
  • Zyro runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States.

Your shoppers' privacy

Zyro checks a shopper's consent before it sends their events to ad tools.

You can erase one shopper's data from their page in Zyro. Shopify's privacy requests are handled for you. That covers requests to see or erase a shopper's data, and to erase a store's data.

We remove the full IP address after 90 days; the country stays.

We don't sell personal information.

Your data, your choice

You can download your data as a spreadsheet from most reports. You can delete a store. You can delete your login, with 14 days to change your mind.

On Shopify, uninstalling Zyro ends your subscription.

If something goes wrong

No system is perfectly safe. If a breach could cause serious harm, we tell the people it affects. We also tell the privacy regulator and the stores it affects. We do this without delay.

To report a security problem, email hello@zyro.world. Our security.txt file lists the same contact.
