Use this for WordPress and WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or a site you built yourself. On Shopify, use the Shopify app instead.
Steps
- Get your snippet. Sign in to Zyro and open My sites in the left menu. On your site, choose Get script, then Copy. No site yet? Choose Connect a site first.
- Paste it into the head. Add it inside the
<head> of every page, just before </head>. Most builders have a box for this:
- WordPress: a header scripts plugin such as WPCode, then add a header script.
- Squarespace: Settings > Advanced > Code Injection > Header.
- Wix: Settings > Advanced > Custom Code, placed in Head.
- Webflow: Project Settings > Custom Code > Head Code.
- Your own site: the main layout or header template.
- Publish. Save and publish your site so the live pages carry the snippet.
- Verify. In My sites, open Get script again and choose Verify installation. Zyro loads your homepage and looks for the snippet. When it finds it, your site shows Active.
A real visit also verifies your site. Open your site in a normal browser tab, then check My sites again.
Zyro picks up sales on standard thank-you and order confirmation pages, and from a purchase event in Google Tag Manager's data layer. Most stores need nothing extra.
If it doesn't work
- "We couldn't reach your site." Check the domain in My sites (choose Edit), and that the site is public.
- "Verification failed." The snippet must be on your homepage too. Clear any site or CDN cache, then try again.
- New domain. Zyro only counts visits from the domain saved in My sites. If you moved, update it there.
- Added it with Tag Manager? Verify installation can't see Tag Manager tags. Check a Tag Manager install instead.
- Sales missing. If your order confirmation page is unusual, add a page-reached goal for it under Settings > Conversion goals.
